Why Lastribe exists
Lastribe is a community resilience app: a calm, practical way for households and their neighbours to know where they stand, close the gaps, and show up for each other when something goes wrong.
Why
After a major disruption — a long power cut, a storm, a supply shortage — most communities are on their own for about 72 hours before organised help reaches them. The people who get through that window well are rarely the best equipped. They are the ones who knew their neighbours.
Most preparedness advice speaks to individuals, and most of it speaks through fear. Lastribe does neither. It measures a household’s readiness honestly, turns the gaps into small practical steps, and makes the local network — the Tribe — the unit that matters.
No doom, no ideology, no streaks or daily-login tricks. News becomes awareness, awareness becomes preparation.
Who
Alexis Delaforge
Founder and President of EnableUnion SASU (Uckange, France)
Lastribe is built by a solo founder, in public, with AI-assisted engineering (Claude Code) and the discipline that goes with it: every feature is planned, tested and audited before it ships. The company behind it is EnableUnion SASU, registered in France in April 2026.
What
- PrepScore — One honest score across eight readiness domains — water, food, energy, health, communication, mobility, security, community — for a person, a household and a Tribe.
- Tribes — Small, local, trusted groups of households that share skills, coordinate resources and check on each other.
- Academy — More than 650 bite-sized courses, each with a quiz, from water storage to first aid and household planning.
- Risk Radar — Curated, localised risk intelligence and official alerts — awareness without anxiety.
- Offline crisis mode — A stripped-down interface with cached data, SOS and safety check-ins that keeps working when the network does not.
Android beta · request accessA closed Android beta has been running since October 2026; iOS follows. Access is granted by hand to keep the first cohort small and the feedback loop short.

How it is built
Stack
- TypeScript end-to-end, strict mode
- Next.js 16 (web + API) and Expo / React Native (iOS + Android)
- PostgreSQL 16 with Drizzle ORM, pg-boss background jobs
- Better Auth sessions, RevenueCat subscriptions
- Self-hosted on OVH in France — all data in the EU, GDPR-native
- 24 official EU languages, English and French written by hand
Method
- Plan first: every feature starts as a written, approved plan.
- Test as you go: unit, integration and end-to-end mobile flows ship with the feature.
- Audit regularly: full-codebase reviews, an OWASP pass, a multi-agent security pipeline and three GDPR impact assessments.
- Ship small, document everything: the roadmap, the plans and the learnings log are the memory between sessions.

What early respondents told us
Before launch we asked people how they prepare today and what they would want first. The aggregated answers — no personal data, no pricing — are published on the survey results page.
Lastribe is pre-launch software built by one person. It is honest about that: features are gated until they are ready, numbers are measured rather than claimed, and the legal corpus — privacy policy, terms of service, legal notices — is published in full.
