Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-14

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you ("you", "your") and EnableUnion SASU ("Lastribe", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the Lastribe mobile application, of the account features of www.lastribe.eu and of the related services (together, the "Service").

These Terms apply from the moment you create an account and accept them by ticking the box provided for that purpose. Browsing the public website is governed only by our legal notice. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process your personal data.

When we publish a new version of these Terms, you accept it in the app with one tap. The version accepted and the date of acceptance are recorded on your account (Section 33).

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account. If you already have one, stop using the Service and delete your account (Section 24.2).

1.1 Languages

These Terms exist in the 24 official languages of the European Union offered in the app. The French and English versions were written by us. The other versions are machine translations that we are having reviewed; each one carries a notice until its review is complete.

If you are a consumer, the version in your language is authoritative for you. If you are a professional user, or where a translated sentence leaves a doubt about its meaning, the French version prevails. The French and English versions are always available at www.lastribe.eu/fr/terms and www.lastribe.eu/en/terms.

3. Definitions

The following terms have specific meanings throughout these Terms of Service:

  • Service -- The Lastribe website (www.lastribe.eu), mobile application (iOS and Android), APIs, and all related features and functionalities provided by EnableUnion SASU.
  • Account -- Your personal registration with the Service, secured by email and password, providing access to platform features.
  • Content -- Any text, images, photos, videos, data, comments, or other materials submitted, posted, or displayed through the Service by users or by Lastribe.
  • Household -- A group of individuals who share a living space and manage preparedness together. Each Household has its own PrepScore, inventory, and autonomy data.
  • Tribe -- A Core community group of users organized around shared geography and preparedness goals, led by one or more members with leader approval for membership.
  • PrepScore -- An informational readiness metric calculated across eight domains (Water, Food, Energy, Health, Communication, Mobility, Security, Community) based on your inventory, events, courses, and community participation.
  • Core Subscription -- A paid subscription tier that unlocks additional features beyond the free tier, billed on a monthly or annual basis.
  • Alert -- A warning displayed in the Service and taken from a public source (Section 14.2). An Alert is information, not an instruction from the authorities.
  • Hazard report -- An observation of a real-world hazard published by a user, which other users can confirm or dispute (Section 14.4).
  • Report button -- The in-app control that lets you notify us of a Content you consider unlawful or contrary to these Terms (Section 17.1).
  • Event -- A scheduled preparedness activity (drill, training, community exercise) that users may participate in and submit evidence for.
  • Evidence -- Proof of Event participation submitted by users, which may include self-declarations, checklists, quiz results, photos, videos, or GPS coordinates.
  • Risk Radar -- A curated news feed providing localized risk information across seven categories, with AI-assisted classification and a computed Risk Index.

4. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users who are at least 16 years of age. By creating an Account or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We reserve the right to request proof of age and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not comply.

If you create or manage a Household within the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to act on behalf of the Household members and to share relevant household preparedness data within the platform.

5. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an Account by providing a valid email address and a password, or by signing in with Google or Apple where we offer it. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain and promptly update your Account information to keep it accurate.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
  • Notify us immediately at support@lastribe.eu if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your Account.

You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your Account. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your credentials, within the limits of Section 27.

6. Service Description

Lastribe is a community-driven emergency preparedness platform designed to help individuals and households assess, improve, and maintain their readiness for real-world disruptions. The Service includes:

  • PrepScore -- A readiness assessment across 8 domains (Water, Food, Energy, Health, Communication, Mobility, Security, Community).
  • Inventory Management -- Track supplies with quantities, categories, and expiry dates.
  • Academy -- Micro-courses on preparedness topics with quizzes and certifications.
  • Alerts and Risk Radar -- Warnings from public sources matched to your city, home or monitored places, and a curated, AI-assisted news feed (Section 14).
  • Safety tools -- SOS, safety status, panic mode and mesh messaging to reach your Household and Tribe (Section 14.3).
  • Hazard reports and places -- User-published hazard observations, shelters and shared places.
  • Tribes -- Join or create local community groups for mutual support and coordination.
  • Events -- Participate in preparedness activities and submit evidence of completion, where this feature is enabled.
  • Badges & XP -- A gamified progression system recognizing preparedness milestones.

Important: The Service is NOT a substitute for professional emergency services, medical advice, legal counsel, or safety certifications. All information, scores, and recommendations provided through the Service are educational and informational only. In immediate danger, call 112. Always follow the instructions of the authorities (Section 14).

6.1 Technical Requirements

To use the Service, the following technical requirements apply:

  • Mobile operating systems: Compatible with iOS 16+ and Android 10+.
  • Internet connection: Required for core features including account management, data synchronization, alerts and community interaction.
  • Offline mode: Available for cached data, including crisis mode (Section 14.6). Cached data may be incomplete or outdated.
  • Storage: Approximately 150 MB of device storage required for the mobile application.
  • Camera: Barcode scanning (Core) and photographs of supplies, hazards and evidence (optional).
  • Location: Nearby alerts, hazards, shelters and the map, only while you use the app. A precise position is sent only when you trigger an SOS, share a safety status, report a hazard, share your position in a message or enter your home address with "precise position" on (Privacy Policy, Section 29).
  • Microphone: Optional voice input for form fields (Section 16).
  • Bluetooth: Optional, for Meshtastic-compatible mesh devices (Section 14.3).

Each permission is requested the first time you use the feature. Refusing a permission only disables that feature.

7. Pre-Launch Waitlist

Prior to the full launch of the Service, we offer a free waitlist. Joining the waitlist:

  • Is entirely free and non-binding.
  • Does not guarantee access to the Service, early access, or any specific launch date.
  • Requires only an email address, your preferred language and, if you tell us, how you heard about us.

You may remove yourself from the waitlist at any time by contacting us at support@lastribe.eu or by using the unsubscribe link in our communications.

8. Subscriptions & Pricing

8.1 Free Tier

The Service offers a free tier with the following features:

  • Up to 50 inventory items.
  • Access to 5 micro-courses.
  • Basic preparedness tracking and PrepScore.
  • Participation in public events.

Changes to the free tier follow Section 8.8 (Changes to the Service).

8.2 Price

Core costs EUR 4.99 per month or EUR 49.99 per year, VAT included, for France. In other countries, the price displayed by the Apple App Store or Google Play before purchase prevails; it includes the VAT of your country. The app shows the store's price, never a converted estimate.

Core unlocks the full platform experience: unlimited inventory, barcode scanning, Tribe and spot creation, in-app messaging, panic mode, the full autonomy calculator, pet management, offline maps and the full course catalogue. The specific features may evolve under Section 8.8.

8.3 Free Trial

When the app store offers one, Core may start with a free trial whose length is displayed before you confirm. You provide a payment method to the store. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial, the subscription starts and the first payment is taken. We e-mail you 3 days before the trial ends, stating the amount that will be charged. There is no trial unless the store shows one.

8.4 Payment and Renewal

Payment is collected by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through their in-app purchase systems; subscription events are synchronised to our backend by RevenueCat. We never see or store your card number, IBAN or other banking details.

The subscription renews automatically for the same period until cancelled. For the annual plan, we remind you by e-mail, between 3 months and 1 month before the renewal date, that you may decline renewal (Article L.215-1 of the French Consumer Code). If that reminder is not sent, you may cancel at any time after the renewal and we refund the period not used.

8.5 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time, free of charge, from Profile › My subscription › "Manage or cancel in the store", which opens the management page of your app store directly, or from your store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: you keep Core until then and receive a confirmation e-mail. Deleting your Lastribe account does not stop the payment — cancel with the store first (see Section 24.2).

8.6 Right of Withdrawal

You have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw. Refund requests are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (play.google.com › Orders), which refund under their own policy. You may also write to support@lastribe.eu: we will forward your request and help you. The model withdrawal form is provided in Appendix A.

8.7 Price Changes

A price increase applies only from the following renewal, after we inform you at least 30 days in advance. Where the store requires your express agreement to the new price and you do not give it, the subscription is not renewed. Continued use is never treated as acceptance of a price increase.

8.8 Changes to the Service

We may change Core for valid reasons (security, legal or technical developments, improvement of the Service), at no cost to you. If a change reduces your access to or use of the Service in more than a minor way, we inform you in advance; you may then terminate free of charge within 30 days and be refunded pro rata for the remaining period (Article L.224-25-25 of the French Consumer Code).

8.9 Legal Guarantee of Conformity

EnableUnion is liable for any lack of conformity of the digital service for the whole duration of the subscription (Articles L.224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code). You may obtain that the service is brought into conformity, a price reduction or the termination of the contract. The updates needed to keep the service conforming, including security updates, are provided free of charge. See also Section 15.

9. User Obligations & Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.
  • Post or share content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or that incites violence or hatred.
  • Harass, bully, stalk, or intimidate other users.
  • Engage in fear-mongering, alarmism, or collapse sensationalism.
  • Promote political or ideological agendas unrelated to practical preparedness.
  • Share military, paramilitary, or weapons-focused content.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access or interact with the Service.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage or disrupt the Service.
  • Circumvent any feature limitations, rate limits, or access restrictions.
  • Send unsolicited communications (spam) through the Service.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans, restrictions, or free-tier limitations.
  • Trigger an SOS, a safety status or a hazard report that you know to be false.

10. Content Guidelines & Tone

Lastribe is built on a philosophy of calm, competent, and empowering communication. All user contributions must reflect these values:

  • Data-driven awareness -- not fear-mongering or sensationalism.
  • Community building -- not divisiveness or tribalism.
  • Practical knowledge -- not speculation or conspiracy theories.
  • Empowerment -- not alarmism or helplessness.

We may remove content that breaches these guidelines and suspend or close the accounts of users who breach them repeatedly. Every such decision is taken by a person and explained to you, as described in Section 17.

11. User-Generated Content

You keep ownership of your Content. You grant EnableUnion SASU a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, limited to what is necessary to host, display, machine-translate and transmit your Content to the recipients you have chosen, for as long as your account exists. Our technical processors may exercise it on our behalf.

The licence ends when you delete the Content or your account. Content you shared with other members (Tribe messages, hazard reports, comments, shelter reviews) is then deleted, not anonymised. Your Household messages and your direct conversations are deleted as well, in both directions. Only the evidence attached to a report of illegal content is kept for six months (Section 17 and the Privacy Policy, Section 13).

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the Content.
  • Your Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.
  • Your Content complies with these Terms and our Content Guidelines (Section 10).

We do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for any user-generated Content. Views expressed by users are their own and do not represent the views of Lastribe or EnableUnion SASU.

12. Household & Tribe Data Sharing

12.1 Household Data

When you join or create a Household, all members of that Household share access to:

  • Household inventory (items, quantities, expiry dates).
  • Household PrepScore and autonomy data.
  • Individual member contributions to the Household.
  • Household messages and the emergency medical information recorded for Household members, where you chose to record it (Privacy Policy, Section 24).

All Household members can see each other's contributions to shared preparedness data.

12.2 Tribe Data

When you join a Tribe, other Tribe members can see your:

  • Display name and city.
  • PrepScore summary.
  • Listed skills and preparedness interests.
  • Safety status and SOS, when you share them (Section 14.3).

Tribe leaders have additional visibility into member activity for the purpose of coordination and community management.

12.3 Leaving a Household or Tribe

When you leave a Household or Tribe, your personal data is removed from shared views. The messages you posted in a Tribe are deleted when you leave it.

12.4 Leader Responsibilities

Tribe leaders are responsible for moderating their Tribe, approving new members, and ensuring that all Tribe activity complies with these Terms and our Content Guidelines. Leaders who fail to uphold these responsibilities may have their leader privileges revoked.

13. Geolocation & Responsible Use

The Service uses your location in limited ways, detailed in Section 29 of the Privacy Policy:

  • Profile location: city level. Your Tribe members see your city.
  • Home address (optional): the exact coordinates are stored encrypted; a copy rounded to about 1 km serves alert and evacuation matching.
  • Alerts, hazards, shelters and the map: use your position only while the app is open.
  • Precise position: transmitted only when you trigger an SOS, share a safety status, report a hazard, share your position in a message or plan a route.

We never track your location in the background. Be careful when sharing a location with a community: even city-level data can identify you in a small town.

14. Safety and Limits of the Service

Please read this section carefully. It describes what you can expect from the Service and what you cannot.

14.1 Not an emergency service

Lastribe is a preparedness tool. It is neither an emergency service nor an official alert channel. In immediate danger, call 112 (in France, 114 by SMS if you cannot speak).

14.2 Alerts

The alerts shown come from public sources: the national meteorological services that are members of EUMETNET, through MeteoAlarm; GDACS (European Commission, Joint Research Centre); USGS (earthquakes); NASA FIRMS (fires); NOAA SWPC (space weather); Deutscher Wetterdienst (Germany); IODA (internet outages); and news items from GDELT, which are not official alerts and are labelled as such.

We poll these sources about every 10 minutes. An alert may therefore reach us up to 10 minutes after its publication, plus the time needed to deliver it to you. We may translate or summarise alerts. They can be incomplete, late, or fail to reach you (network, battery, phone settings, provider outage). Only the instructions of the authorities (FR-Alert, prefecture, emergency services) are authoritative.

14.3 SOS, panic mode, safety status and mesh messaging

The SOS, panic mode, safety statuses and mesh messaging warn the people of your Household and your Tribe. They do not alert the emergency services. We cannot guarantee that a message is received or that someone will answer it. Panic mode sends SMS from your own phone to the contacts you chose, at your carrier's rates.

14.4 Hazard reports

Hazard reports are published by users. "Community-confirmed" means that other users have confirmed the report, not that an authority has verified it.

14.5 Academy courses, Events and exercises

Academy courses have a general educational purpose. They replace neither certified first-aid training, nor the advice of a doctor or pharmacist, nor the regulations of your country (hunting, trapping, foraging, weapons, chemicals). Where a course has been translated with the help of an artificial intelligence, the course says so. Events and exercises involve real-world activity: you take part under your own responsibility, after assessing your abilities.

14.6 PrepScore, autonomy calculations and cached data

The PrepScore and the autonomy calculations rely on the information you enter. They are indicators, not certifications. The inventory does not replace a physical check of your supplies. In offline or crisis mode, the app shows cached data that may be incomplete or outdated; the last synchronisation time is displayed.

15. Legal Guarantee of Conformity

In accordance with Articles L.224-25-1 to L.224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/770 on the supply of digital content and digital services:

  • The Service, including all Core Subscription features, is guaranteed to conform to the contract for the full duration of your subscription period. This means the Service must match the description provided in these Terms, possess the qualities presented, and be fit for the purposes normally expected of a similar digital service.
  • If a lack of conformity appears during your subscription period, you may request that the Service be brought into conformity at no additional cost to you.
  • If bringing the Service into conformity is impossible or would impose disproportionate costs, you are entitled to a proportionate price reduction or to terminate the contract and receive a prorated refund for the remaining subscription period.
  • During the first year of your subscription, you do not need to prove that the lack of conformity existed at the time of supply -- the burden of proof is reversed in your favor.
  • In addition, the legal guarantee against hidden defects (garantie des vices cachés) applies pursuant to Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code. If a hidden defect renders the Service unfit for its intended use or significantly diminishes its usefulness, you may request a price reduction or contract termination.

16. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

We use artificial-intelligence models hosted on our own servers in France to:

  • classify and summarise news items for the Risk Radar;
  • generate regional situation briefs from alerts and news;
  • rank which courses, events and posts we publish next (editorial planning, without your personal data);
  • compare two versions of a model on the same news items (A/B tests);
  • transcribe and interpret the recording when you dictate a form field (voice input).

An evidence-checking model for Events exists but is not active while Events are disabled.

16.1 Technology & Data Hosting

All models run on our servers in France (Ollama, Whisper). None of your personal data is sent to an external AI provider. If we translate courses with the help of an external AI provider, only our own editorial content is sent to it, never your data, and the course concerned says so.

When you dictate a form field, the recording is sent to our server, transcribed and interpreted, then discarded; only the value entered in the field is kept.

16.2 Training Data

Anonymised user feedback (votes, corrections and other interactions) may be used to improve model accuracy. This data is anonymised and aggregated before use in training.

16.3 Limitations

AI outputs are approximations that may contain errors. They are not authoritative and are not professional advice. Check the source before acting on an AI-generated summary.

16.4 Human Oversight

We do not use AI to moderate your Content or to take decisions about you. Every moderation decision is taken by a person (Section 17). Our team can audit and adjust every model. In accordance with Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act), the people who operate our AI systems have the AI literacy appropriate to their functions.

16.5 Opt-Out

You may request exclusion of your feedback from AI training data by emailing privacy@lastribe.eu. This applies to training data only -- AI features that process public content (for example news classification) continue to work as part of the Service.

16.6 AI Content Labeling

Content generated by AI -- Risk Radar summaries, translated titles and situation briefs -- carries the label "AI-generated" in the Service (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Article 50).

17. Digital Services Act (DSA) Compliance

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act):

17.0 DSA status

Lastribe is operated by EnableUnion SASU, established in the EU (France). EnableUnion SASU is a micro-enterprise (fewer than 10 persons, annual turnover or balance sheet below EUR 2 million) within the meaning of Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC. Lastribe is a hosting service for user-generated content (Tribe and Household messages, hazard reports, shelter reviews, comments, profile fields).

Under Article 19 of the DSA, micro and small enterprises are exempt from Articles 20 to 24 (internal complaint-handling system, out-of-court dispute settlement, trusted flaggers, measures against misuse, transparency reports) and from the transparency reporting of Article 15. We nevertheless apply Articles 11, 12, 14, 16, 17 and 18, described below, and we offer an appeal by e-mail (Section 17.4).

17.1 Reporting content (DSA notice-and-action, Article 16)

You can report any content from the Report button shown on every message, hazard report, shelter review, Tribe, Household member and news item. Anyone, user or not, can also write to dsa@lastribe.eu.

For content you consider illegal, tell us why (the rule of law you rely on), where the content is, and give your name and e-mail address -- except for content depicting the sexual abuse of children, where you may stay anonymous -- and confirm that you report in good faith. The in-app form asks for these elements; by e-mail, please include them.

For end-to-end encrypted messages, we cannot read the content ourselves: the report attaches, with your agreement, the text as you received it. This is the only way for us to assess it.

We acknowledge each report by e-mail and process it diligently, objectively and without undue delay. You are informed of our decision. Reports are examined by a person.

17.2 Content moderation (Article 14)

We moderate on report only. Every decision is taken by a person; we use no automated filtering. The rules we enforce are set out in Sections 9 and 10. The measures we may take are described in Sections 17.5 and 24.3. We do not apply restrictions outside what those sections describe.

17.3 Statement of reasons (Article 17)

If we remove or restrict a content, or suspend or close your account, we tell you why, in the app and by e-mail: the measure taken and its duration, the facts, the clause of these Terms or the rule of law relied on, whether the decision followed a report (the reporter is never named to you), whether automated means were used (they are not), and how to contest the decision. The person who reported the content is informed of the outcome. The statement may be delayed when an authority asks us to withhold it.

17.4 Contesting a decision

You may contest a decision for six months by writing to dsa@lastribe.eu with the decision reference shown in the statement of reasons. A person re-examines it -- where possible, someone other than the person who took the decision -- and answers within 30 days. If the decision is reversed, the content or the account is reinstated. You may also bring the matter before a court or, for a consumer dispute, before the mediator of Section 32.

17.5 Graduated measures and criminal offences (Article 18)

Our measures are graduated: a warning, a suspension for a set period (typically 7 days), then deletion of the account in case of repeated breaches or of seriously illegal content (terrorist content, sexual abuse of children, threats to life or safety). Such content is reported to the competent authorities -- in France, the PHAROS platform -- with the information available to us. Content covered by a removal order from an authority is removed within the legal deadline, and the related evidence is kept for six months.

17.6 Single point of contact (Articles 11 and 12)

AudienceContactLanguages
Authorities of the Member States, the European Commission, the European Board for Digital Services (Article 11)dsa@lastribe.euEnglish, French
Recipients of the service (Article 12)dsa@lastribe.eu (DSA-specific) and support@lastribe.eu (general)English, French

We commit to acknowledge authority enquiries within 5 working days and to provide a substantive response within the timeframes set by the requesting authority.

17.7 Review of our status

We check every 1 January, and at every hiring or funding step, whether EnableUnion SASU is still a micro or small enterprise. If it is not, the obligations of Articles 20 to 24 apply six months later and this Section is updated accordingly.

18. Intellectual Property

The Service, including but not limited to its design, features, functionality, logos, trademarks, user interface, underlying software, PrepScore algorithm, course content, and platform source code, is the exclusive property of EnableUnion SASU and is protected by French and international intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the Service or any of its components without our prior written consent.

The "Lastribe" name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of EnableUnion SASU. Use of these marks without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited. Third-party data and software used in the Service are credited in the legal notice (Section 8, "Credits") and in the "Sources & licences" screen of the app.

19. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is fundamental to how we build and operate Lastribe. Our Privacy Policy describes in detail how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law.

The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

20. Cookies and Trackers

The Service uses essential cookies for authentication and, with your prior consent, analytics trackers for product improvement. Non-essential trackers are never loaded before you provide explicit consent. For full details, see the Cookies & Tracking section of our Privacy Policy.

21. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on the following third parties. Section 10 of the Privacy Policy says what data each one receives.

  • Apple / Google -- In-app purchases via App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android); sign-in, where offered.
  • RevenueCat -- Subscription management: receipt validation, renewal/cancellation/refund sync, subscriber state.
  • Resend -- Transactional email delivery.
  • Expo -- Push notifications for the mobile application; the text of a notification passes through Expo's servers.
  • PostHog -- Product analytics, EU-hosted, with your consent.
  • Sentry -- Error monitoring, EU region.
  • OVH -- Hosting of our servers in France.
  • Open-Meteo (Switzerland) -- Weather forecasts for a position rounded to about 10 km.
  • openrouteservice / HeiGIT (Germany) -- Route calculation from the start, end and waypoints you enter.
  • RainViewer -- Precipitation radar tiles, requested directly by your device.
  • Open Food Facts -- Barcode lookups, requested directly by your device.
  • Public alert and news sources (EUMETNET/MeteoAlarm, GDACS, USGS, NASA FIRMS, NOAA SWPC, Deutscher Wetterdienst, IODA, GDELT) -- We fetch their data; nothing about you is sent to them.

Maps and AI models are hosted on our own servers. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. Section 27 says when we are, and are not, responsible for their failures.

22. App Store Terms

When you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the respective store's terms also apply to your purchase. Billing disputes for app-store-processed purchases should be directed to the respective store.

23. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to maintain the Service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance: We will provide reasonable advance notice when possible.
  • Emergency updates: Critical security patches or bug fixes that require immediate deployment.
  • Force majeure events: Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Section 30).

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service. Modifications during a subscription period will only occur for valid reasons specified in this contract, including security requirements, legal compliance, and technical necessity. Modifications will not impose additional costs on the consumer. The consumer will be clearly informed in advance of any such modification. If a modification negatively and significantly affects the consumer's access to or use of the Service, the consumer may terminate the contract within 30 days of being informed at no cost and receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of the subscription period, in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/770, Article 19.

For significant changes that affect paid subscribers and do not fall within the above categories, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email.

We will provide necessary updates, including security updates, to maintain the Service in conformity throughout your subscription period, as required by Article L.224-25-6 of the French Consumer Code.

24. Suspension & Termination

24.1 Data Portability

At any time during your use of the Service, you may request a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON) from your account settings, independently of any account deletion. This right is provided under Article 20 of the GDPR.

24.2 Termination by You

You may delete your Account at any time from Profile › GDPR & Privacy › Delete Account. Upon deletion:

  • Your account is scheduled for deletion; you have 30 days to change your mind by signing in again. After that, your personal data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Deleting your Account does not cancel a Core Subscription taken through the App Store or Google Play — the store keeps billing it. Cancel it with the store first (Section 8.5); the app reminds you of this before deletion. Refunds, if any, follow the store's policy (Section 8.6).
  • Content you shared with other members is deleted, as described in Section 11. Only the evidence attached to a report of illegal content is kept for six months.
  • Before deletion, you may export your data (GDPR data portability right) from your account settings or by contacting support@lastribe.eu.

24.3 Suspension and termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your Account if:

  • You violate these Terms or our Content Guidelines.
  • We are required to do so by law or court order.
  • Your Account has been inactive for more than 24 months, and we have sent you a reactivation reminder at least 30 days before the scheduled termination without receiving a response.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized activity.

Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue before suspension or termination. For serious violations (e.g., illegal activity, harassment, security threats), we may act immediately. In all cases, you will receive a statement of reasons explaining the decision, and you may contest it (Sections 17.3 and 17.4).

25. Accessibility

We are committed to making the Service accessible to all users in compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG):

  • We target WCAG AA compliance for all content.
  • We target WCAG AAA compliance for critical information (alerts, scores, safety-related content).
  • Our accessibility statement is available at www.lastribe.eu/legal/accessibility, describing our current level of compliance, known limitations, and remediation plans.

If you encounter any accessibility issues, please report them to support@lastribe.eu. We take accessibility reports seriously and will work to address them promptly.

26. Disclaimers

Your rights under the legal guarantee of conformity (Section 15) are not affected by the following limitations. Subject to those mandatory rights and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of the Service for any particular purpose.
  • The PrepScore is an informational metric only and does not constitute a guarantee, certification, or professional assessment of your actual readiness or preparedness.
  • Emergency preparedness involves real-world risks and uncertainties that no application can fully account for.
  • You remain responsible for the decisions and actions you take based on information provided through the Service, within the limits of Section 27.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable EU or French law.

27. Liability

27.1 Our liability

EnableUnion SASU is liable to you for the damage caused by a breach of its obligations, under the ordinary rules of law (Articles 1231-1 and following of the French Civil Code).

27.2 What we are not liable for

EnableUnion is not liable for failures outside its control: telecommunications networks, app stores, public alert providers, your phone or its settings, or force majeure (Article 1218 of the French Civil Code). Nor is it liable for the consequences of a use contrary to Section 14.

27.3 No limitation for consumers

Nothing in these Terms limits EnableUnion's liability for personal injury, gross negligence (faute lourde) or wilful misconduct (dol), or under product-liability law (Section 28).

27.4 Professional users

If you use the Service as a professional, our total liability towards you is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. This limit does not apply to consumers.

28. Product Liability

In accordance with EU Product Liability Directive 2024/2853, applicable from December 9, 2026, mobile applications qualify as products. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable product liability law. The safety information in Section 14 describes the intended use and limitations of the Service but does not constitute a limitation of statutory product liability.

29. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EnableUnion SASU, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Content you submit, post, or share through the Service that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Intentional violation of these Terms causing demonstrable harm to EnableUnion SASU or third parties.

This indemnification obligation does not extend to normal use of the Service or to claims arising solely from the Service's own defects or non-conformity.

30. Force Majeure

EnableUnion SASU shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (Article 1218 of the French Civil Code), including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, storms, volcanic eruptions).
  • Epidemics or pandemics.
  • War, armed conflict, terrorism, or civil unrest.
  • Cyberattacks, including DDoS attacks, ransomware, or infrastructure compromises.
  • Government actions, embargoes, sanctions, or regulatory changes.
  • Power outages or telecommunications failures.
  • Internet disruptions or DNS failures.
  • Failure of third-party service providers essential to the operation of the Service.

31. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer residing in another Member State of the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country (Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 "Rome I", Article 6).

In a dispute, you may bring proceedings, at your choice, before the courts of your place of residence or before the courts of EnableUnion SASU's registered office (Thionville, France). We may sue you only before the courts of your place of residence (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, Articles 17 to 19).

Before any court action, you may use, free of charge, the consumer mediator designated in Section 32: Société Médiation Professionnelle, www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr, Alteritae, 5 rue Salvaing, 12000 Rodez, France.

Each language version of these Terms is authoritative in its language, as set out in Section 1.1.

Note: The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr is no longer referenced: it was permanently shut down on 20 July 2025 by Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 of 19 December 2024.

32. Consumer Mediation

Mandatory Consumer Mediation Notice

In accordance with Articles L.611-1 to L.616-3 of the French Consumer Code, you have the right to submit any dispute relating to the Service to consumer mediation free of charge before filing a court claim.

EnableUnion SASU has designated, under a three-year agreement signed on 13 May 2026, the following CECMC-accredited mediator:

Designated mediator: Société Médiation Professionnelle

Online filing: https://www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr

Postal address: Alteritae, 5 rue Salvaing, 12000 Rodez, France

CECMC reference: Mediator validated by the CECMC on 16 October 2018.

Important: Before engaging the mediator, you must first contact us at support@lastribe.eu and allow one (1) month for us to resolve your complaint directly (in accordance with Article L.612-2 of the French Consumer Code).

33. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms. Each version has a number and a "Last updated" date, and the changes are summarised in Section 37b.

  • When we publish a new version, we inform you by e-mail and in the app. The new version takes effect at publication.
  • You accept the new version in the app with one tap. The version accepted and the date of acceptance are recorded on your account.
  • Changes to the price or to the terms of the Core Subscription are announced at least 30 days before they take effect, under Sections 8.7 and 8.8.
  • If you refuse the new version, stop using the Service and delete your account (Section 24.2). You keep Core until the end of the period already paid, and Section 8.8 applies if a change reduces the Service.

34. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

35. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of EnableUnion SASU to be effective.

36. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EnableUnion SASU regarding the use of the Service. They supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us regarding the Service.

Appendix B — Referral Programme Rules

  1. Every user has a referral code, shown in Profile › Account.
  2. When a person creates an account with your code, you receive 30 days of Core and 100 XP, up to 10 rewarded referrals per rolling 30-day period. Referrals beyond that cap are recorded but not rewarded.
  3. To prevent fraud, we compare a technical fingerprint of the device and the first part of the IP address (/24 block) with your recent referrals. Suspicious referrals are reviewed by a person before being validated — within 48 hours — and a refusal is explained to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (see the Privacy Policy).
  4. Granted Core days add to your free access; they cannot be converted into money or transferred. Self-referral and referral of accounts you control are not rewarded.
  5. The programme may change or end; days already granted are kept.
